'Broadgate Venus' is a 5 tonne bronze sculpture commissioned specifically for the Broadgate area. Over the last 20 years Capisco has maintained the sculpture with major restorations in 2006 and most recently in 2022.

It was restored on site by our team to its’ original depth of colour. This required the sculpture to first be sandblasted, then patinated by our restoration team. Following that we followed the traditional bronze patination technique of applying ‘Liver of Sulphur’ . This creates a dark patination on the bronze material. Final finishing and hot working is then completed to create an even surface, and sealed with layers of a hard wax. For clients seeking a colour match it is comparable to our Classic OST patina.
