Greenwich Planetarium 1997-98

The bronze carapace was fully welded in situ so Capisco needed to prepare the surface for patination creating a similar surface from the welds to the mill finish phosphor bronze sheet. Working from scaffold this work took approximately 2 months. The final patina was the combination of three overlaid patinations taking a further 2 months.
